Back in 2013, I registered Penoptic as a ‘service’ company – yes, rather vague, I know! That’s because it existed as more of a passion project – a space where I could express my love of writing and apply what I was constantly learning – albeit unofficially – in the digital world, part of which was coding and digital media.
Officially, I’m a journalism and media professional (MA: University of Witwatersrand) turned entrepreneur (MBA: Henley Business School). I’ve had the honour of leading outstanding teams inside Africa’s largest broadcasters the likes of eNCA and SABC. I helped pioneer the transition to 24-hour news as executive producer and online duty editor in the former, and was in the Digital Steering Committee that brought in the latter’s OTT revolution.
I’ve also had the privilege to collaborate with and learn from distinguished international publishers including the BBC, WAN-Ifra, Foundry (formerly IDG Connect) and Meta’s Google News Initiative. I’ve poured these experiences and expertise into my first love which I continue to nurture as founder and MD.
Today’s Penoptic is an emerging digital media business founded on care, quality and agility. It is driven by an avid curiosity for novel ideas paired with a deeply-seated compulsion to play my part in Africa’s media & ICT advancement.

My journey, rooted in the fashion and beauty fields, has equipped me with a multifaceted understanding of brands.
As model and brand ambassador, I’ve proudly represented renowned local names including Woolworths, Superbalist and MRP, among others. While internationally, I’ve worked with global giants the likes Coca-Cola and The Wool Company.
My current role as the Brand Director at Penoptic marks a shift from the runway to strategy. Having earned a Business Administration and Communications degree and with hands-on experience as a Marketing Assistant, I approach the role with a strategic toolkit which includes media relations, advertising, and social media marketing.
Trust is paramount when it comes my role as brand director, and I bring that to the forefront – a steady hand, a sharp mind, and an unwavering commitment to your brand’s triumph.
